Milan Spencer Masters, age 85, of Natoma, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 23, 2021.
He was a lifelong resident and supporter of the Natoma community. He was born September 12, 1936 to Cecil and Lucille (McClellan) Masters on the homestead south of Natoma. He married his high school sweetheart, Dianne Mohler, on January 14, 1956.
He began his life in business when he opened Masters Oil in 1959, starting when he was 18, in the community he was ever committed to. He expanded their business to Russell, Woodston and Alton.
Richard Allen Lemon, age 79, of Plainville, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at the Rooks County Health Center.
He was born on December 13, 1941 to Floyd and Lucille (Highley) Lemon in Phillips County Valley Township, Kansas. He was united in marriage to Janet B. Mueller on September 24, 1960 at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Athol, Kansas. The couple was blessed with three children: Ty, Monica, and Stacey.
Karen Sue Vanhoose, age 71, of Plainville, was taken all too soon from this world on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, in Ponca City, Oklahoma.
She was born on July 8, 1950, in Plainville, Kansas to Eldon and Gola (Brokaw) Williams. She was united in marriage to David Stahl in 1968 and the couple was blessed with two children: Cory and Brett. They later divorced and she was united in marriage to Orvil Vanhoose on June 10, 1995 in Plainville. Through this marriage, Karen gained four stepchildren: Chuck, Dan, Nikki, and Joel.
