Jesse James Swaney, San Diego, Calif., passed away on December 10th, 2021, at the age of 35 at Sharpe Grossmont Hospital in San Diego due to heart failure.

He was born on May 28, 1986 to Ray and Correna (Winters) Swaney in Phillipsburg.

Jesse was a 2004 graduate of Stockton High School. He spent the last ten years living in San Diego where he loved being by the ocean, playing in the water, taking pictures, and giving old furniture new life. Jesse was very creative.

He is preceded in death by his grandpa, Jack Swaney, and grandma, Ruth Winters.

Emma “Granny Arlene (Richardson) Wetzler, Stockton, passed away on December 15, 2021, at the Rooks County Health Center in Plainville, at the age of 95.

She was born on June 21, 1926, to Mack and Emma (Baird) Richardson in Luray. She married Gerald Richard Wetzler on May 23, 1947, in Salina. They were blessed with one daughter, Stephanie.

THE MAIN STREET CHRISTIAN CHURCH had depicted “The Last Supper” as their Living Christmas Card during the evening hours in December of 1994 when each church made a living display on the front lawns of the schools. People lined the streets to walk by each display of this annual event.
