Bridge repair projects starting on I-70

The Kansas Department of Transportation plans to begin a pair of bridge repair projects along I-70 in Ellis and Trego counties this week.

Crews will be patching and overlaying the bridge decks located approximately 6 miles east of Collyer in Trego County and 7 miles east of Hays in Ellis County. Traffic will be reduced to one lane through the work zone with a reduced speed limit.

CiRoads is the primary contractor for both projects, which are expected to be completed in mid-October, weather permitting.
