* I had a yummy cookie at the Ribbon Cutting for the new pour-in-place surface for the Stockton City Park. It was a strawberry cookie with white chocolate chips. I liked it so much I decided to recreate it for my next little baking project. Here is what I came up with—I used the old tried and true cake mix cookie recipe, which is a strawberry cake mix, two eggs and a half of a cup of oil. I mixed those ingredients together, then threw in a cup of the white chocolate chips. I dropped spoonfuls on a cookie sheet and baked them at 350 degrees for approximately eight to ten minutes. Amazing!
* Don’t get me wrong, I love watching my Hallmark Christmas movies every year and have quite a few favorites, but I am asking the studio to please expand their group of actors and actresses who star in these holiday films. Unless it is a series, I am tired of watching the same people enjoy Christmas over and over again!
* Here is some Disney trivia… The black hearse which stands in front of Disney World’s Haunted Mansion was originally a movie prop in the 1965 western, “The Sons of Katie Elder,” starring John Wayne, Dean Martin and Earl Holliman.
* I was asked if I was a Hagar fan or Roth fan when it came to Van Halen songs. It is Sammy all the way for me! And on that note, I thought to honor Eddie Van Halen by taking my Van Halen music to the Nova Theatre to be played before the movies, but I am so old school that I forgot I have the LPs not the CDs! And yes, I have a record player to play them on.
* Just so you know the cartoons I enjoyed when I was young were educational as well as entertaining. The Jetsons cartoon was so way ahead of its time, they had online classes, telemedicine, video calls and home offices. And Dick Tracy had phone watches!
* I read this on a momlifekeepingitreal post and it is so me since they changed up my favorite Kurt Russell line from the movie “Tombstone”…. “If you mess with my child, you better run for your life, because I’m coming after you and Hell’s coming with me!
