    Body

    * It is important to listen to our bodies. Mine keeps saying, “You need those tacos.”

    * By a vote of 1 to 0, I have decided to stay home tonight.

    * Things that try our patience…. The shopping cart with one bad wheel. The tape roll when you lose where it starts.

The sock that slowly slides down inside your shoe.

The vacuum sucking up the corner of the rug.

The grocery bag handle that breaks halfway to the car.

The tiny speck of eggshell that falls into the bowl.

The drawstring that disappears inside your hoodie or sweatpants.

    * You can distinguish an alligator from a crocodile by paying attention to whether the animal sees you later or in a while.

    * I am proud of myself. I didn’t decorate for Fall until September 1st!!

    * Have you ever looked at your bookshelf and thought I don’t need any more books. But here is something to consider…. What if the books need you?

    * Websites state they use cookies to improve performance. I do the same.

    * Don’t get me wrong because I LOVE Autumn and everything about it, but I think September should have all types of apple recipes online and October should have the pumpkin recipes.

    * I heard that Friday, September 25th, which is also Sadie and Chase’s wedding anniversary, is Dolly Day. If Star Wars gets May 4th, people can do 9-2-5 for Dolly.

    * People say you need to eat your vegetables because they make you strong, but I am okay with just being pretty.

    * Sometimes when my feelings are big, I like to sing them.

    * When someone asks you what you are doing later and your answer is “nothing,” they need to understand that means they don’t get to invite themselves over or to plan to do something with you. Nothing is your event. That is the plan.

    * Do you remember the 21st night of September? (Those who know, sing this line.)

    * In English we say: “Overthinking.” In poetry, we say, “The storms in my head ruined the garden that my soul holds.”
