BARTON COUNTY—Just after 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 12th, police, in coordination with Central Kansas Community Corrections, responded to a narcotics complaint at Azria Health Woodhaven, located off K-96 Highway in Great Bend, according to a media release.

ANDERSON COUNTY—A Kansas teen died in an accident just after 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 7th, in Anderson County.

FORD COUNTY— Agents with the Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) arrested a Kansas law enforcement officer for child sex crimes. On Friday, May 30th, just before 7:00 a.m., KBI agents arrested 42-year-old Erik Lalicker.

HAYS—The Hays Police Department executed a recent search warrant at a childcare in Hays after reports of alleged child endangerment and potential drug use, Hays Police Chief Don Scheibler said. He said the search was part of an ongoing investigation.

ELLIS COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 18th, in Ellis County.

TREGO COUNTY—A 2024 incident led to more than 42 charges filed against seven individuals in Trego County last month, and according to information from the Trego County Attorney, Abraham Pfannenstiel, police in WaKeeney received the report of a stolen firearm during a vehicle burglary on November 7th, 2024. Pfannenstiel said evidence from the burglary led to other criminal investigations in Trego, Ness, Ellis, and Russell Counties.

SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement is investigating a suspect on multiple allegations after an encounter at a Kansas residence. On May 1st, members of the Topeka Police Department Narcotics Unit and the Shawnee County Drug Task Force served a search warrant in the 200 block of SE Swygart Street in Topeka, in connection with an ongoing investigation, according to Police Lt.

HAYS—The Kansas Bureau of Investigation issued a news release on Friday, April 25th, stating that the Russell Police Department responded after a citizen called 911 to report a shooting. When officers arrived in the 800 block of East Second Street in Russell, they found 49-year-old Deborah Torres of Russell with apparent gunshot wounds.
