FedEx truck stolen in Salina
SALINA — A Lincoln man was arrested last week after a FedEx truck he was driving in the Walmart parking lot was discovered to be stolen. Salina police said officers were sent to Walmart on a report of suspicious activity with a FedEx truck being driven in the parking lot by a white male wearing a leather jacket, hat and jeans, and not a FedEx uniform. One officer saw the truck in the northwest corner of the parking lot and a man matching the description of the reported driver pouring a liquid into the engine compartment that was running on the ground.

Norton virus outbreak: Largest per capita in the nation NORTON — A large-scale COVID-19 outbreak in Norton took a horrific turn last week as it was reported that all 62 residents of Andbe Home Long Term Care facility had contracted the disease, along with multiple staff members, and that 10 of the elderly residents had died, as of Monday, Oct. 19.

Man dies after motorcycle strikes dog GREAT BEND — One person died in an accident last week in Great Bend. According to Great Bend Police, a 2006 Big D motorcycle driven by Daniel McKay, 69, was eastbound on Broadway Avenue and struck a large dog that was running north across the roadway.
