Body The students at Stockton have been pumping up the spirit throughout the halls during this year’s Homecoming with themes for every day of the week.

Body Justine Benoit was at the Stockton City Commission meeting on Tuesday, September 15th to inform them that she had tallied the applications the City had received for the CDBG grant, and stated that eight of the ten businesses that applied had qualified for the COVID funds.

Body The 2020 Stockton High School Homecoming event is featured in this issue of the Sentinel. A special pull-out section is devoted to individual photos of the football, volleyball, cheer and cross country teams, and Homecoming royalty candidates and their sponsors.

Body There will be a government surplus commodities distribution the week of September 28th for those in the Plainville and Stockton areas. Plainville will hold its distribution on Monday, September 28th from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Body The Stockton Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual fall City-Wide Garage Sale is this Saturday, September 26th from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon. Due to low participation, there will be no city maps since there are only three garage sale sign ups.

Body Jessica Billinger of Stockton has been chosen to be a recipient of a new program called the Country Music Teacher Classroom Initiative.

Body The tragedy of a 7-year-old student at St. Andrew’s Elementary School in Abilene who died last Wednesday morning, September 9th, while crossing the road to board a school bus, has ties to former Stockton residents.
