Starting off the Rooks County Commission morning session, held on Tuesday, January 10th, was a meeting with Senior Services Board member Chuck Comeau and Plainville City Mayor Quinton Meyers.

After starting the regular meeting of the Stockton Board of Education meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance by four third-grade students on Monday, January 9th board members heard from high school students Bodye Stithem and Cason Iwanski during the Share Out session.

April 7— The Stockton FFA team took second place at the Livestock Judging Contest in Phillipsburg with Kourtney Bigge placing first individually and Ryan Mongeau placing tenth. Douglas Frank Budig passed away.

At the first meeting of the new year for the Stockton City Commission held on Tuesday, January 3rd, commissioners Bob Becker and Nathan Glendening took the Oath of Office for their second term after being re-elected to their positions this past November.

The Rooks County Commission met with road and bridge supervisor Rich Bouchey at its regular Tuesday meeting on January 3rd. Bouchey first presented the commissioners with the new rate changes for the Rooks County Landfill.

The Kansas Tennis Coaches Association has elected former Salina Central Tennis Coach Mike Goll to the Hall of Fame in the Class of 2023. Coach Mike Goll was in education and coaching for 41 years, retiring in 2021.

(Continued From Last Week) Feb. 24— The Stockton School Board voted to establish a day car center. Stockton Tiger Emerson Lowry qualified for State. Father James Greenan, Eldo E. Graham, Ervin Lee Keeler and Betty Ann Hunter passed away.

After receiving a bone marrow transplant from his younger brother Charlie (2 1/2) in August, and 152 days in the Seattle Children’s Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House, four-yearold Ezra Scott finally got to go home to Port Orchard, Washington on Friday, December 9th.
