Susan D. McFarland Rooks County Museum Coordinator Some of our Civil War Veterans came to Rooks County later in life and, as a result, left a very light footprint.

"BE YOUR BEST SELF" was the theme chosen by TOPS KS #0375 of Stockton for the NW Area Fall Fun Days held on September 18, 2021. The local chapter hosted three other TOPS clubs from Russell, Norton and Athol.

Funky Junky’s Thrift and Collectibles, the unique thrift store, HAS MOVED to its new location at 412 Main Street (between Stockton Sentinel and Muir Law Office) in Stockton. Business hours are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from Tuesday through Saturday.

THE HOBART HOMEMAKERS FCE and Stockton Chamber of Commerce sponsored a Pumpkin Bake Off at the Pumpkin Patch held in Stockton over the weekend. Thanks to Linda McLaughlin for judging the delicious entries.

The Hobart Homemakers FCE group met Monday, September 27, 2021, at 7 p.m., at the United Methodist Church. Janie opened the meeting with the flag salute. The roll call was "What is your favorite holiday?” It was answered by seven members.

What would you think if someone told you that it is easy to know who God is? We have the Bible, and if we are diligent in our stud-ies, it really is not difficult. However, if that question were turned and you were asked if it is difficult for God to know you, what would your answer be?
