Memorial Day Cemetery Services Planned in County

As Memorial Day approaches, our communities prepare to celebrate the lives and sacrifices of our nation's heroes. This year, the Stockton VFW Post 8873 and the Plainville VFW Post 8871 invite you to join a heartfelt tribute to the men and women who answered our country’s call. Through a series of moving cemetery services, we will honor the courage, dedication, and enduring legacy of our veterans. All are welcome to gather, remember, and express our gratitude together at these meaningful events.

Mt. Vernon Cemetery 9:00 a.m. St. Thomas Cemetery 10:00 a.m.

Stockton City Cemetery 11:00 a.m.

All veterans—both members and non-members— as well as Auxiliary members, are encouraged to take part in this day of remembrance. Your presence helps ensure that the stories of valor and sacrifice are never forgotten.

Following the services, everyone is invited to a community Pot Luck Dinner at the Stockton VFW Post. Come share a meal, stories, and camaraderie as we celebrate the spirit of service and community. Meat, drinks, and table service will be provided.
