Happy Easter Egg!
The story of the Easter Basket
Green Grass is like the palms that lay upon the ground for Jesus’ parade.
Purple reminds me of the time that Jesus shared with his disciples a meal of bread and wine.
Red reminds me it is true, that Jesus loves us so much he died for me and you.
Brown chocolate is as dark as inside a cave, and reminds me of the sad place that was our Savior’s grave.
White is like the angel bright who joyfully said, “He is Risen!” Yellow in my basket matches the bright shining sun, reminding me of all that my God has done.
The Legend of the Easter Lily
Lilies are often called the “white-robed apostles of hope.” Tradition has it that beautiful lilies sprung up where Christ’s tears fell to the ground in His final hours of sorrow and deep distress. The triumphant and pure lilies commemorate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ and Hope of Life Everlasting.
The Easter Egg
The Easter Egg is hollow
Just like they found the tomb;
For it is meant to represent
Christ has risen for you!
Remembering my two special angels…
* Flowers are happy things.
* Flowers don’t tell—they show.
* A flower is a smile from Heaven.
* I must have flowers, always and always.
* Every flower must grow through dirt.
* Like a sunflower, I will stand tall and find the sunlight.
* Flowers are the music of the ground.
