The sub-state basketball championship game between Holton and Wamego ended with a heartbreaking loss for Wamego, and with it seniors Tanner Hecht and Jackson White’s high school basketball careers.

The Stockton Tigers’ season came to an end last Tuesday after a hardfought battle with the Ness City Eagles in the quarterfinals of the KSHSAA Class 1A, Div. I State Basketball Tournament.

IT WAS AN EXCITING weekend of wrestling for Jhet and Hudsyn Hagan. The boys wrestled in Axtell, Neb. on Friday, March 12th. Jhet (pictured left) got 1st in the 5th and 6th Grade 83-88 lb. division with three pins. Hudsyn (right) got 2nd in the 3rd and 4th Grade division.

Four girl wrestlers from Stockton Wrestling Club, Ashlyn Hahn, Kourtney Bigge, Carolina Northup and Mya Trevino, competed this past weekend at the USAWKS 2021 State Folkstyle Championship held at the Kansas Star Arena in Mulvane. This tournament is held for those girls and boys ages 8 & Up.

The saying goes, “it’s hard to defeat a team three times,” but the Stockton Tigers did just that and are heading to the KSHSAA Class 1A, Div. I State Basketball Tournament for the second straight year. Stockton’s third win over the Osborne Bulldogs this season didn’t come easy, however.

The Stockton Wrestling Club sent six wrestlers, coached by Adam Balthazor and Kent Hahn, to the USAWKS 2021 District 4 Championships in Dodge City on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at United Wireless Arena.

Cole Flower, a member of the Stockton Wrestling Club, just finished a perfect season of wrestling, going an impressive 23-0.
