THE LOCAL ROTARIANS could always be counted on for their fine performance at the United Fund Telethon.

REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STOCKTON PTA had presented grade school principal Francis Mahoney and librarian Pat Nichols with the books furnished by School Book Fairs, in cooperation with the PTA, in the fall of 1994.

MEMBERS OF THE 1994 Solomon Valley Antique Engine & Machinery Association of Stockton had been hard at work getting things ready for the annual antique show, which was always held at the end of September. One of the projects was working on a 65hp Case Steam Engine.

FIFTEEN-YEAR 4-H LEADERS recognized at the 4-H Achievement Celebration in October of 1997 were Janet Languein, Elaine Hrabe, B J Poore and Larry Poore..

LORA BELLE SANDER AND DELORES GLENDENING were just two of the many people who volunteered their time to staff Stockton’s Thrift Store. In September of 1994 an article featured the history of how the store started in 1971 to serve as a humanitarian project for the local United Methodist Women.

FOUR OF THE MEN IN THIS 1994 PHOTO were part of a new program initiated between the Stockton Police Department and the Stockton school system. Volunteers started escorting students across Highway 183 at North First Street.

IN AUGUST OF 1994, Myrna Kincaid (left) and Virginia Doughty (right) had presented two American flags to Robert Miller, who was on the board of the Rooks County Free Fair. Both women belonged to VFW Post 8873 Auxiliary, which provided the Fair Board with flags to fly during the weeklong event.

CHET BAXTER was proudly showing off his nine-foot tall sunflower in the summer of 1994. If anyone had a sunflower that was taller, they were to let Chet know..
