RYLAN BASART AND KAELYN MEANS were Class 1A State medalists for the second year in a row. This year Basart was State Champion in Javelin, after placing fourth in 2021. Means was State Runner-Up in Discus, as she was in 2021, but this year she improved her distance by nearly 12 feet. Congratulations!

Rylan Basart’s track season came to a fairy tale ending last Saturday when his final throw of the javelin was not only a PR, but it also earned him the title of Class 1A State Champion.
