Quilt guild quilt brings childhood friends together

Body The Crossroads Quilt Guild quilt this year had a special meaning to Joyce Schmitz, Stockton and Mary Roe, Olathe. The two ladies have been childhood friends since they were less than one year old, living three houses apart while growing up in Salina.
MARY ROE, OLATHE, left, and Joyce Schmitz, Stockton, right, were reunited 50 years later after having been friends growing up in Salina. What brought them back together after all those years is something you have to read below.

Body Sharon Russ of Colwich and Cody and Madi and Bayler Russ of Mt. Hope came to Stockton for Sharon’s grandson, Waylon Ghumm’s birthday party on December 11.

Body Bob Hamilton, Yukon, Okla., was a guest in the home of his father, Bob Hamilton, from Monday to Thursday of last week. He came to spend some time with his dad as he recovers after being a patient at Rooks County Health Center.
