The menus for the Senior Centers in Rooks County for the week beginning Monday, February 16, are as follows: Monday—Pork fritter with gravy, mashed potatoes, Italian blend vegetables, bread, apple slices. Tuesday—Chili, cinnamon roll, crackers, mandarin oranges. Wednesday—Tuna noodle casserole, peas and carrots, bread, fruit cobbler. Thursday—Smothered steak, mashed potatoes, California blend vegetables, bread, pineapple up-down cake. Friday—Baked fish, macaroni and cheese, mixed vegetables, tropical fruit.

Happy 73-degree Sunday, folks! Today’s weather is so perfect, I almost forgot I missed my Sunday nap. Almost. Instead of snoozing away in my cozy bed, I was out here basking in this glorious sunshine, thinking, 'Well, who needs a lazy Sunday nap when the weather’s this good?' Honestly, I might just turn into a sunflower today, soaking up every bit of this beautiful February sunshine. I’ve got my eyes on the forecast, and I’m already looking forward to more of these gorgeous days ahead. So here’s to opening up the windows, embracing the great outdoors, and making every day as sunny and fun as this one!

Sacred Heart Spelling Bee Winners

On Tuesday, January 27th, Sacred Heart School helds its annual Spelling Bee. After six intense rounds of play, sixth-grade student Max Brewster emerged as the school campion speller by correctly spelling the winning word, 'fruit.'
