Patricia Ann (Newell) Belisle

Patricia Ann (Newell) Belisle, age 87, of Damar, Kansas, passed away Friday, September 2, 2022 surrounded by her family at her home in Damar.

She was born September 29, 1934 in Damar to Arthur and Alice (Thibault) Newell. On April 15, 1951 she married Duane V. "Arkie" Belisle. He preceded her in death on October 25, 2019.

Pat and Duane owned and operated Belisle Decorating, specializing in commercial and residential painting. She worked as the secretary for the City of Damar as well as volunteering for St. Joseph Church decorating the edifice for Masses and special events. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies of St. Anne Sodality.

She loved spending time with her family, attending events, square dancing, playing cards, and was quite an accomplished cook.

She is survived by her son: Paul Belisle and wife Mary of Damar; three daughters: Donna Towns of Palco, Christy Seib and husband Jake of Ness City, and Lisa Belisle and Cammi Raab of Overland Park; 10 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two grandchildren: Amber Seib and Blake Munsch; a son-in-law: Mike Towns; three sisters and three brothers.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Damar. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, September 5, 2022 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until service time all at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Damar. A combined parish vigil and rosary service will be Monday at 7 p.m. at the church.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Masses and/or St. Joseph Catholic Church in Damar.
