It is with a heavy heart that we share the peaceful passing of Mark Krysl on May 8th in Las Vegas, his favorite city.

Mark was born in Topeka during WWII to Stan and Betty Jo Krysl. He was a proud descendent of Czech and Irish immigrants. Mark grew up in Stockton, where he met his wife, Linda. They were married for 60 years. He has two daughters, Tammy and Tori, and three beautiful grandchildren, Ross Hinshaw, Justin Webber and Nicole Webber. He is also survived by his brother Brock, his sister Shannon, his uncle Ed, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mark graduated from Washburn University and started a 33-year career as a bank regulator in Sidney, Nebraska. During his career, he lived in Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Colorado, and Washington, D.C.

Mark lived life to the fullest for 79 years. He befriended many from all walks of life. He was smart, witty, and ornery, too. He taught many of us the value of a dollar. He had such a generous heart, always helping others with his time, talents and money, both here and abroad in Thailand. Mark was a world traveler and got the chance to visit 42 different countries, mostly through his work with the Office of Comptroller of the Currency and International Monetary Fund. He also traveled for pleasure and golf and in retirement was active walking, golfing and doing daily yoga.

The family plans to honor Mark’s wishes with a private service at a later date. For those wanting to honor Mark’s memory, the family suggests a contribution to your favorite charity or to Father Ray’s Orphanage in Thailand.
