Margaret Mary McKenna

Margaret Mary McKenna, age 85, of Ellis, Kansas passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at the Good Samaritan Society, Hays.

She was born June 11, 1937, in Capulin, Colorado, to John and Mary Malouff.

Margaret was a farmer and owned the Red Vest Inn restaurant in Plainville. She enjoyed decorating, especially at Christmas time, as well as cooking, fishing, and time with her family.

Survivors include: her son, Robert Reilly and wife Jennifer of Denver and their children, Samuel and Frankie Reilly; her son, Daniel Reilly of Denver and his children, Jacob, Paige and Joshua Reilly; her daughter, Patricia Kitzman of Ellis and her children, Jamie Linden, Erin Hobbs and Joseph Kitzman; her daughter, Pamela Gnad and husband John of Ellis and her children, Zachary Gehring, Matthew Gehring, and Nicholas Gehring; stepdaughter, Madelynn Rudzik and stepson, Maverick Gnad; as well as 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandchild, Patrick Reilly; brothers, Robert, John and James Malouff; a sister, Sarah Freeman; and a son-in-law, Randy Kitzman.

Margaret’s family will hold a private Celebration of Life Service.
