Lester Louis Burton

Lester Louis Burton, a devoted family man and outdoors enthusiast, passed away on October 23, 2024, at the age of 84.

He was born on September 19, 1940. Lester and Verlee Brin celebrated an incredible 65 years of marriage, having wed on September 19, 1959. To this union, six children were born: Alice Brown (Kevin Brown), Leslie Burton (Debra Billinger), Michelle Burton, Brenda Castelli (deceased) (Kevin Tremblay) (Jim Castelli), Dennis Burton (Jeanice Bloom), and Kindra Burton.

Lester's family grew to include numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Emily Brown, Michael Brown, Keith Brown, Andrew Brown, Garrett Brown, Brandon Burton, Miranda Drouillard, Brooke Burton, LaToyia Burton, Kenda Barker, Kylee Wiegand, Kody Tremblay, Kirsten Tremblay, Adrian Castelli, Emma Castelli, Crystal Duchesneau, Brittany Forseth, Chase Burton, and 33 great-grandchildren.

Lester's professional life was dedicated to floor coverings, while his personal life revolved around hunting, camping, fishing, and family. His love, laughter, and legacy will endure through his family, who surrounded him in his final moments. Lester will be deeply missed as a husband, father, brother, uncle, and beloved Papa.

Viewing will be held Sunday, October 27, from 5-8 p.m., with a rosary at 7 p.m., at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N 8th St, Salina, KS. Funeral Mass will be held Monday, October 28, at 11 a.m., at St. Joseph Parish, 107 Oak St, Damar.

Burial will be at the Saint Joseph Cemetery in Damar following Mass. A luncheon will be served at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Damar following the burial.

Memorials are suggested to the Town Hall Renovation Project in Damar.
