Lenora Mae (Boese) Stelter of Plainville passed away on February 23, 2023, at her home in Plainville.

She was born on November 14, 1933, to Walter and Minnie (Krug) Boese in Alexander. She married Ralph Stelter on July 13, 1952. They were blessed with three daughters: Pam, Carol, and Kim.

Lenora grew up in Alexander and graduated from Alexander High School in 1951. She was a homemaker and kept busy raising three daughters.

She enjoyed traveling all 50 states and going on many cruises. She also attended auctions for hours as she was a collector of many things. She loved spending time with her family and entertaining them—or them entertaining her! Then, of course, there were TikToks with her grandkids, and she even danced for her kids once. She loved playing games—her favorites were Pinochle, Bingo, and Pictionary.

Lenora was a member of the First Lutheran Church.

Left to cherish Lenora’s memories are her children: Pam Luna (John) of Plainville, Carol Hernandez of Wichita, and Kim Weber (Allen) of Ellis; brothers, Galen Boese (Mary Ann) of Fort Smith, Ark., Ronald Boese (Nila) of Alexander, sister, Charlene Lox of Tenn.; eight grandchildren, Chasity Lewis (Kevin), Marty Hernandez (Kim), Melissa Hanna (Chad), Anita Leahy (Chet), Jesse Luna (Anna), Kristi Anderson (Andy), James Luna and friend Casey, and Amanda Jolley (Kevin); 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Minnie; husband, Ralph; sister, Darlene Ryan; infant sister, Helen Boese; brothers, Victor and Virgil Boese; and grandson, Rick Hernandez.

A Funeral Service will be at the First Lutheran Church in Plainville on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Ellis. Visitation will be on Tuesday with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Plainville.

Memorials are suggested to First Lutheran Church or Donor’s Choice and may be sent to Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home, 320 SW 2nd, Plainville, KS 67663.
