Earl L. Chesney, age 71, of Natoma, Kansas, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022, at the Redbud Village in Plainville.

He was born May 27, 1950, in Hays, Kansas. He was one of five sons born to Homer Bruce and Eileen (Meyers) Chesney. He grew up in Natoma and graduated from Natoma High School.

Earl served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. After his tour of duty, he returned to the Natoma area.

Earl worked with his brothers helping local farmers as a farmhand. He enjoyed being outdoors, riding four wheelers with his nieces and doing crossword puzzles.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers Bruce Chesney, Everett Chesney and Ronald Chesney.

Survivors include his brother, Larry Chesney of Natoma; four nieces and two nephews. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 21, 2022, at the United Methodist Church of Natoma. The family will be greeting friends after the service. A private burial will take place at the Survey Cemetery.
