Dee Mongeau

Glade resident Dee Mongeau passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024, at the Kearney Good Samaritan Hospital at the age of 67.

She was born October 28, 1956, the daughter of Kenneth and Elizabeth (Bredemeier) Brobst.

Dee was united in marriage to Bert Mongeau on January 30, 1988, in Phillipsburg. He survives.

Other survivors include a son, Shane Mongeau, and wife, Hannah of Glade; stepson, Nathan Boethin and wife, Kelly of Conroe, Texas; daughter, Jodie Carstens and husband Ryan of Glade; stepdaughter Kristy Johnson and husband Danny of Stuttgart; eight grandchildren; brother Darrell Brobst and wife Deb of Stockton; and sister Brenda Matteson and husband Ronnie of Phillipsburg.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Sts. Philip and James Catholic Church, Phillipsburg. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Phillipsburg.

A Rosary will be held Friday at 6:30 p.m. in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, followed by the family receiving friends from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. 

Mrs. Mongeau will lie in state Thursday from noon until 9 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Phillips County 4-H.
