Connie Joyce Easter

Connie Joyce Easter, of Hays, passed away on June 9, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Society in Hays, at the age of 88.

She was born on February 18, 1936, to Rex E. and Mary B. (Larsen) Mills in Galesbury, Illinois. She married Herbert Duane Easter in Palco on October 18, 1952. They had five children together: Danny, Maria, Troy, Tony, and Mark.

Connie grew up in Palco and was a homemaker. She loved to work in her yard and flower beds, where she spent many hours of her day. She also enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband when he was alive and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Danny Easter of Salina, Maria (Allen) Rohr of Hays, Troy (Tina) Easter of Salina; eight grandchildren, Heather Easter of Topeka, Jessica (Tyrel) Somers of Russell, Tiffany (Thomas) Zimmerman of Hays, Amanda (Zane) Swartzman of Hays, Chelsey (Nathan) Hester of Manhattan, Harley (Logan) Esparza of Concordia, Gabrielle Kittrell of Wichita, and Lacey Hamilton of Concordia; and 27 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Easter; parents, Rex and Mary Mills; two sons, Tony and Mark; and great-grandson, Brixton Zimmerman.

A private graveside service will be held at Pleasantview Cemetery in Palco.
