Clair Joseph Rogers

Clair Joseph Rogers, age 76, of Liebenthal, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2025, at the Good Samaritan Society of Hays.

He was born on October 26, 1948, in Hays, Kansas, to Clair Joseph and Norma Lea (Scott) Rogers. On December 19, 1970, he married Alberta June Groff in Plainville, Kansas.

Clair had worked as a vending truck driver before starting a career in the oil fields, primarily working as a roustabout. He last worked at Rains & Williams Oil Company of Wichita. He enjoyed fishing, playing scratch lottery tickets, bingo, and playing cards. He enjoyed watching old Western movies and TV shows. His greatest joy, however, was his family and being a grandpa to his grandchildren.

Clair is survived by his wife Alberta of Liebenthal; a son, John Dale Rogers (Anne) of Plainville; daughters, Julia Dee Klein (Jeff) of Dodge City, and Tina Louise Putz of Stockton; a sister, Carol Mongeau (Martin) of Stockton; grandchildren, Dakota Rogers (Morgan) and children, Jaxxon, Ashton, and Sylus; Cheyenne Rogers (Adam), Taylor Rogers, Riley Rogers; Kylie Putz, Kelsie Putz (Kody) and son, Thomas; Lexi Springer, Kaylee Springer, Cami Springer; Sierra Wilson (Daniel) and children, Braxton, Zaylee and Braven, Jordan Wilson and Alesha Rogers.

He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Daniel Rogers, and his parents, Clair and Norma Rogers.
