Cody Dix is not unlike most cattlemen’s sons — ambitious with a strong work ethic. But he has set himself apart from the rest, by not only finding a new business model for himself and his dad, Jeff, but also rapidly gaining popularity for his product across the nation. He’s only 32 years old.

The Board of Directors of the Kansas Association of Elementary School Principals (KAESP) has announced the 2020 National Distinguished Principal Honoree. Mrs. Stacey Green, Stock ton’s Elementary Principal, has been chosen to represent the State of Kansas as this year’s National Distinguished Principal. Stacey was surprised with the announcement when Stockton Superintendent Bill Lowry asked her come to the District Office on Friday, April 10th. Barb Henson is staying in touch with family and friends through Mail Art

MAIL ART IS BEING DELIVERED TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS: Stockton’s former art teacher, Barb Henson, has been a mail artist for a long time, stating it is a big artistic movement that began in the 1960s. Barb had even introduced it to her art students by hanging up a world map in the school hallway. She mixed art and geography into that lesson and would pin the envelopes mailed back to them on the map.

SHS Class of 2020 to hold graduation ceremony Sat., July 11th, in high school gym

Stockton High School Senior Class Sponsor Bobbi Basart announced this Friday morning the SHS Class of 2020 graduation ceremony, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 11th, at 7:30 p.m., has been moved from Tiger Stadium to the Stockton High School Gym.

Triple-digit temperatures are being forecast from Thursday to Sunday next week, which precipitated the change.

Hand sanitizer and social distancing will be used. The school asks the public to wear masks.
