A Rooks County man has been sentenced to more than 24 years in prison for second-degree intentional murder in the 2020 death of a woman in northwest Kansas, Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt said.

There will be a government surplus commodities distribution on Monday, August 22nd for those in the Stockton and Plainville areas. In Stockton, the distribution will be held on Monday, August 22nd from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the VFW Hall. You are asked to please enter through the front door at 314 Main Street.

Plainville will hold its distribution on Monday, August 22nd from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Patrons are asked to drive in on the north side, and continue east, as the commodities will be distributed from the south door.
