Lewis Leroy (Roy) Drullinger, 88, passed away on November 24, 2025, at the Redbud Village in Plainville. 

He was born on April 19, 1937, in Chadron, Nebraska, to Lawrence Leroy and Lucile Demaris (Sanford) Drullinger. Lewis’s sister, Jean Marie, and brother, Gary Dean, were born next, completing their family.

Lewis proudly served his country, joining the U.S. Army in 1953 and serving in Germany until 1956. During his time in the military, he earned his GED and later returned home to graduate from Chadron State Prep School alongside his sister in 1957.

Mary Ann Thaemert, 86, of Manhattan, Kansas, and a former Natoma resident, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at the Via Christi Village in Manhattan.

Mary Ann, the daughter of Rudolph and Marie (Luhman) Reese, was born August 06, 1939, on the Reese family farm in rural Rooks County, Kansas.  She was a country girl and animal lover through and through, and was never without an animal by her side, whether it be a cat, dog, horse, or cow. She attended Laton Country School through 8th grade, then graduated from Natoma High School in 1957.

Andrea Lynn Klaus

Andrea Lynn Klaus passed away Sunday, November 16, 2025, at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Ellis at the age of 72 after a several-year battle with cancer.

She was born May 14, 1953, in Hays, Kansas, the third child of Andrew and Alfreda (Stadelman) Klaus. She grew up in Plainville and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Grade School, graduating from Plainville Rural High School in 1971. She went on to attend Brown Mackie School of Business, earning a degree in Fashion Merchandising.
