Former Plainville resident Agnes “Arlene” (Gates) Rogers passed away on February 22, 2023, in Yuma, Ariz., at the age of 94.

She was born on June 22, 1928, to Lewis and Ora (Ellis) Gates in Logan. She married Robert Rogers on December 21, 1951, in Zurich. They had five children: Linda, Kathy, Bob, Connie, and Julie.

Arlene grew up in Norton and graduated from Norton High School in 1946. She worked for the City of Norton before moving to Stockton to work at the city office until her first child was born.

It signifies the movement of bills from their originating chamber to the other side of the rotunda. The House is scheduled for three days this week, full of debate on the House floor. "Turnaround" is the term used in the Kansas legislature to describe when all bills must be out of their House of origin, so all House bills must pass the House and be on their way to the Senate and vice versa to be considered during the remainder of the session.
