KANSAS CITY—Just after 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 31st, the Kansas City Fire Department Rescue Division responded to a mutual aid request in the 9800 block of 81st Terrace in Raytown, according to Battalion Chief Michael Hopkins. A tree trimmer had lost his rope system and was unable to get himself down from approximately 65 feet in the air.
Lois Mae (Hansen) Ellis, 75, Lebanon, passed away on June 2, 2024, at the Smith County Memorial Hospital in Smith Center.
She was born August 31, 1948, in Norton, to Earl and Lenora (Robinson) Hansen.
Lois married Leslie Ellis on June 26, 1971.
She was a certified medical aide for many years and worked in several nursing homes. She was a homemaker and the mother of four children: Lance, Luke, Lyndon, and Lescinda.
