Steven Lance Brown passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at his home in Stockton at the age of 59. 

He was born on November 7, 1965, to  Francis Harris and Regina Lee (Cutler) Brown in Scott City, Kansas. He married Heather Smith on April 14, 1989. They were blessed with three daughters: Megan, Sidnee, and Rilee. They later divorced.

Steven worked for Brown's Appliance, Glassman Heating and Air, and did construction for Roger Roy. He was a true Jack of all trades, able to tackle any challenge that came his way with skill and determination.

The Kansas Department of Transportation has closed westbound I-70 at Colby because of winter weather conditions in Colorado and limited truck parking availability in northwest Kansas.

Westbound U.S. 36 is also closed at St. Francis.

Motorists are advised to buckle up and stay alert for changing road and weather conditions.

Sammy D. Green, 77, of Woodston, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. A cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Sammy's warm spirit and generous heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He was born March 14, 1947, to Sam and Exerv Green.
