Phillipsburg resident David O. Baumgartner was born on January 17, 1950, in Russell, Kansas and passed away on Monday, October 24, 2022, at the Kansas Soldiers’ Home at Fort Dodge, Kansas. He was 72.

Survivors include his wife Jackie of Phillipsburg; son James Baumgartner and wife Amber of Las Vegas, Nev.; daughters Mandra Imm of Phillipsburg and Megan Rau and husband Jeff of Long Beach, Calif.; brothers Tony Clements and Wes Clements of Denver, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2022, in the First Lutheran Church, Phillipsburg, with Pastors Dave Hutson and Joel Hiesterman officiating. The services will be streamed live on the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel Facebook page. Burial with Military Honors will take place following the service at 2:00 p.m. in the Plainville Cemetery, Plainville.

Mr. Baumgartner will lie in state from noon until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, and 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association or First Lutheran Church.
