Collecting applications for veterans service recognition

VFW Post 8873 Monroe-Taylor-Barnes Post resolved at the September meeting to undertake the project of collecting applications for veteran service recognition certificates.

Your VFW Post 8873 will be conducting a recognition of service for ALL veterans in conjunction with the Quilts of Valor program held by the VFW Auxiliary Post 8873. They will be presenting certificates to a limited number of veterans. Those who wish to have their certificates presented at this event must be received no later than November 2. Veterans who are able to attend and do not receive a certificate at the presentation will be maintained to be presented at subsequent events. Veterans who are unable to attend, can receive a certificate recognizing their service via the mail.

Certificates available are: Beirut, Bosnia, Southwest Asia, Haiti, Iraq, Korean War Service, Korean Service, Panama, Somalia, Vietnam, WWII, and a Service Commitment Citation.
