Peggy Ann Crumb, age 73, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at St. Catherine Hospital of Dodge City.

She was born on September 2, 1948, at Hays, Kansas, the daughter of Sylvan and Mary (Niblock) Harris.

Peggy grew up in Plainville and was a graduate of Plainville High School. She then attended Fort Hays State University and later moved to Dodge City. On February 10, 1968, she married Dale R. Crumb in Dodge City. Peggy worked at Manor of the Plains and later for Bright Beginnings Early Childhood Center and also at Dillons. She loved reading (especially romance novels) and spending time with her family. Peggy was a very giving person and would do anything for anyone including being a foster grandmother.

She was a member of the First Christian Church of Dodge City.

Peggy is survived by her three children: Brian Crumb and Maricela and Rita Ortiz and Vic, all of Dodge City, and Randy Crumb and Peaches of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 12 grandchildren: Jeremy, Jessica, Jennifer, Angelica, Andrew, Deanna, Valerie, Victor, Vincent, Aysia, Eric, and Ashlynn; eight great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Dennis Harris of Minneapolis, Floyd Harris of Downs, and Larry Harris of Solomon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dale Crumb; and daughter, Debra Goodwin.

A funeral service was held at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Friday, June 10, 2022, with Mr. Jeff  Hiers presiding. Burial followed at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. Swaim Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
