Carl Louis Sander, age 87, passed away on May 3, 2022, at the Redbud Village in Plainville, Kansas.

He was born on November 24, 1934, on the family farm northwest of Stockton, in Rooks County, Kansas to William Louis “Lou” and Ethelyn (Weaverling) Sander.

Carl grew up in Stockton and graduated from Stockton High School with the Class of 1952. He was a farmer and a mechanic and enjoyed working on antique cars and trucks.

He was a very active member of of the Stockton Lions Club, and was also a member of the Stockton Antique Association, Main Street Christian Church, Livewire 4-H Club, and Stockton FFA. Carl also delivered meals for the meal site for many years.

Having no siblings, his cousins Freeman, George and Delbert Sander were like brothers.

Preceding Carl in death are his parents, Lou and Ethel Sander; cousins, Freeman and George Sander; and special friend Wanda Jo Walker.

He is survived by his cousins Delbert (Rita) Sander, Lorabelle Sander and Twila Sander; and many relatives and friends.

A funeral service was held on Friday, May 6, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. Burial was in the Stockton Cemetery.
