Plans underway for this year’s Nicodemus Celebration

Now is the time to mark your calendars for the BIG event which will take place later this summer, bringing many people together to celebrate a special annual event.

Nicodemus, KS 144th Emancipation Celebration announces plans for the return of outdoor and virtual events in 2022. The celebration will take place July 28th, 29th, 30th, and 31st, 2022.

This year's theme is "Our Rich History Leads to a New Promise," which will feature some of the traditional family-centered events such as the parade, food and textile vendors, 5K Run/Walk, Kid’s Corner, Fashion/Talent Show, music and much, much more.

The 2022 t-shirt, designed by Nicodemus descendant graphic artist Mr. Westley Gunn, can be purchased via their webpage. They are seeking vendors and craftsmen to join them again this year.

The health and safety of the community is a top priority, according to Tracey Bates with the Nicodemus Celebration. All local guidelines will be followed.
