It is an exciting time in Stockton right now as ground has been broken and work begun on clearing the area for construction of the new Solomon Valley Manor. An official Groundbreaking event was held on Tuesday, Nov. 30, with the Stockton City Commissioners present, along with city manager/ clerk Courtney Hrabe, Dale Winklepleck, president of Solutions North Bank, and four officials from Parkway, the construction and architecture firm out of Lewisville, Texas.

Solomon Valley Manor Administrator Amanda Atkisson welcomed those in attendance, which also included employees of the manor and several of the residents who braved the chilly morning. Atkisson gave a brief summary of what has taken place in the planning stages of the new facility, which will be constructed directly north of the current building. The new 25,000-square-foot facility will consist of 30 private rooms, each having their own bathroom accommodations, as well as specialized service areas for anciliary amenities such as exercise and physical wellness, spiritual and social activities, dining and outdoor recreation.

Solutions North Bank is the financing institution for the project.
