Roger Dean Ives, age 82, of Cheyenne, Wyo., passed away Monday, November 8, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born August 2, 1939 in rural Rooks County at the family home to Ray and Gertrude (Wildrex) Ives. He was the youngest of two children. He attended country school until his family moved to town where he attended Stockton Schools until he graduated in 1958. He married Betty Jean

He married Betty Jean Hewitt in 1959 and made their home in Kimball, Neb. They had three children: Lorilee, Charles and Rhonda.

Roger moved his family to Casper, Wyo., in late 1966. Early in the 80’s, Roger and Betty moved to Cheyenne, Wyo. Roger loved being a truck driver. He did that until an accident forced him into retirement in the late 80’s.

His wife, Betty, passed in 2007 and he later married Bonnie Faye Horn in 2010.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather Rusty Bemis; wife Betty; daughter Rhonda; and a grandson Brandon Lee.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie, of the home; children, Lorilee (Bacilio) Ramos, Cheyenne and Charles (Darla) Ives of Casper, Wyo; two grandchildren, Jessica and Jose Ramos; four great grandchildren; his sister LaDonna Schnuerle, Stockton; nephew Sam (Kristi) Schnuerle and family, Almena; and niece Jayne (Jim) Prockish and family, Stockton.

Cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will take place at a later date.
