Dian Lorene Jennings passed away November 8, 2021, at Redbud Village in Plainville at the age of 86.

She was born on June 23, 1935, in Codell, Kansas to Robert and Serena Languein.

Dian graduated from Codell Rural High School in 1953. She married Darold Jennings on November 26, 1954, at the Codell Baptist Church. To this union two children were born—one daughter and one son.

Dian was a homemaker and lived her entire married life in the country along the Saline River near Turkville. She was a very kind person and a caregiver her entire life, taking care of her husband and family members in addition to the numerous family pets.

She was a member of Saline Homemakers FCE Club in Ellis County for 55+ years.

She is survived by one daughter, Debra Eaves, Wichita; a son Doug Jennings, Plainville; a sister-in-law Mazie White, Riverton, Utah; a brother-in-law Joseph Dooley II, Bonner Springs; two granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Serena Languein; husband, Darold Jennings; brother, Gordon Languein; sister, Darlene Kavanaugh; in-laws Buck and Pauline Jennings; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Languein and Fontella Dooley; and brothers-in-law, Kim White and Arch Kavanaugh.

A Celebration of Life Service was held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 12, 2021, at the funeral home in Plainville.
