Sugarplum Market’s annual arts and crafts fair this Saturday in Hill City
Something for everyone at two different locations; fun begins at 10:00 a.m. and ends at 3:00 p.m.
Santa’s elves will not want to miss this opportunity to check things off Santa’s list. Sugarplum Market, Hill City’s annual arts and crafts fair, will be held Saturday, November 20, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Those who are wanting to start their holiday shopping, buy baked goods for the upcoming holidays, purchase home décor, clothing, or gifts will not be disappointed in the vendors for this year’s market. Visitors will find both buildings at the Graham County Fairgrounds and the gym at Hill City Grade School full of craftsmen, artists, and direct sales vendors.
To promote the grade school location, there will be some incentives for shoppers to make sure they check out the vendors at the grade school as well as the fairgrounds. The first twenty-five customers at the grade school location will receive a Sugarplum Market tote bag. The local PTO group will be hosting “Pictures with Santa” at the grade school location. Photos with the jolly fellow will be taken by PTO volunteers from 10-12 and a digital image will be texted to you on site. The cost will be a free will donation to the PTO.
Drawings will be held throughout the day so be sure to sign up in the commercial building. You must be present to win the prizes donated by the vendors.
Sugarplum Market strives to bring in vendors that offer a variety of products. This year you can find quilts, sewn items, crocheted items, wood crafts, jewelry, holiday decorations, handmade cards, paintings, and a large variety of crafts will also be available. There will be baked goods, pies, cinnamon rolls, homemade jams, jellies, barbeque sauces, jerky and snack sticks, pork rinds, and pickled items to help you with your holiday food needs. Several home-based direct sales businesses will be joining with the artists and craftsmen to help with your holiday gift shopping. For a sneak peek at what vendors will be bringing to the Sugarplum Market, be sure to like their Facebook page, Sugarplum Market.
A concession stand will be available throughout the day at the fairgrounds. It will feature breakfast items, home made soups, sandwiches, and pies as well as other traditional concession stand fare.
“We are beyond pleased that we have been able to make the Sugarplum Market grow and that would not have happened without the tremendous support Graham County and the surrounding area has given to this event,” says Kathy Hofstetter, one of the planners of the event. “We are very pleased to work with the Hill City Grade School PTO to make the Sugarplum more of a destination event that makes it worth the drive for out-of-town visitors.”
“Please join us for a fun day and a great way to kick off your holiday season,” say members of the Hofstetter family.
