From the files of the sheriff’s department

A two-vehicle fender bender was worked December 17th by the sheriff’s department. At 4:28 p.m., Linda Lou McLaughlin, 70, of Stockton turned south from S. First onto Cedar Street in the 2004 Cadillac SRX she was driving. Because of sun glare, she failed to see a 2006 GMC Envoy also being driven south on Cedar by Joseph D. Burns, 32, of Kensington, which was stopped and signaling a left turn. McLaughlin bumped into the Burns vehicle before making a full stop. No injuries resulted.

Six deer collisions complete this week’s report. None resulted in injury.

On December 4th at 1:53 p.m., Brooklyn D. Foster, 29, of Plainville struck a deer with the 2007 Dodge Durango she was driving. Location was a quarter mile south of Z Road on Highway 183.

On December 7th at 7:35 p.m., Siegle Jay Irby, 58, of Bogue hit a deer with the 2008 Honda CRV he was driving. Location was half a mile east of 9 Road
