Carolyn Balderston
1943 - 2025
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, Carolyn passed away peacefully at home after a brief illness.
Carolyn was born into a large family in Kansas and moved to Tucson from Nebraska with her husband and two children in 1973, settling into what is now Oro Valley.
She is survived by her daughter Jauna (Kevin); grandchildren Tara (Stephen), Larry (Amber), C.J., and Haven; great-grandchildren Keaton, Ryder, Darin, Kiera, David, and Ryan; siblings Madge Mock, Alan Stalnaker (Sue), and Dianne Conway; and many nieces and nephews.
Carolyn was a member of the Copper Creek congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She had served faithfully as a Witness since 1963. She believed that her reward was to be resurrected onto a paradise earth. At that time, she will be reunited with all her beloved family members who preceded her in death—her husband of 52 years, Lawrence; her son, Darin; her siblings Betty Vogts, Bob Stalnaker, Eve Miller, Gloria Chard, Shirley Stinemetz, and Patty Foltz; her parents George and Lillian Stalnaker; her in-laws Raymond and Lucille Balderston; and many nieces and nephews.
She was a small but mighty force and will be missed every day by those she leaves behind.
We love you, Mom, til we meet again.
A memorial service will be held later this Spring.
