Stockton’s Olde Tyme Christmas this weekend
Main Street Parade set for 5:30 p.m. this Friday, November 29th
Stockton’s Olde Tyme Christmas will begin this Friday, November 29th, with several stores opening early and offering different specials throughout the day. The businesses include The Daily Grind, Kester Auto, Stockton Pharmacy, Coco The Label, Living Light Boutique, Motion Dance Company, and Misty’s Dance Gallery, to name a few. Please check out the QR code in the ad for times and specials.
Then, at 5:30 p.m., the Main Street Christmas Parade will kick off the evening events. Santa will visit with all the little girls and boys at Printer’s Park after the parade. Letters can also be dropped off at Santa’s Mail Box at that location.
Then, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., there will be a ribbon cutting at Reds Venue located at Main Street and South Walnut with a beer garden, snack foods, a trail mix contest, and horse carriage rides for the public courtesy of Southfork Ranch and Reds Venue.
The holiday fun will continue on Saturday, November 30th, starting at 7:00 a.m. at The Daily Grind and Kester Auto at 7:30 a.m. Reds Venue will serve pancakes from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Then, at 10:00 a.m., there will be a Story Time at the Rooks County Museum and a Baking Contest at Stockton City Hall, sponsored by Hobart Homemakers FCE. Vendors will have their wares for sale at Reds Venue from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Vendors are The Daily Grind, Coco The Label, Motion Dance Company, Kester Auto Parts, Living Light Boutique, Hawkins-Moll Homestead, Don’s Delights and The Little Red Robin Creations, Misty’s Dance Gallery, LK Designs, I’m Stuffed Cupcakes & Cookies, Walnut Wood Barn, Nu You by Donna, and Tasty Treats and Treasures.
At 11:00 a.m., Reds Venue will serve spaghetti until 1:30 p.m. There is also a cookie decorating class class (RSVP needed) with Motion Dance Company hosting a Christmas Escape Room and Games until 5:00 p.m.
There is an RSVP Nutcracker Tea Party set at 12:00 noon, sponsored by Southfork Ranch, Motion Dance Company, and The Stockton Area Chamber of Commerce before the Nova Theatre shows the free movie “Care Bears Nutcracker” at 2:00 p.m.
Then from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight there is a dinner (7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.), a Christmas Ball, a band, and a beer garden for the public to enjoy.

The holiday weekend will end on Sunday, December 1st, with Reds Venue serving biscuits and gravy from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. before The Cowboy Poetry event begins at the Rooks County Historical Society and Museum.
