Sacred Heart third graders bring Easter spirit to Sentinel-Times pages
Continuing a Rooks County tradition of showcasing local students’ artwork in holiday greeting ads, the third-grade class at Sacred Heart Grade School in Plainville has added a special touch to this week’s Sentinel-Times.
The nine students in Traci Johnson’s third-grade class—Julian Akoh, Katy Austin, Hallee Becker, Isabella Deutscher, Hudson Hageman, Jack Hillard, Wes Pfannenstiel, Starzyn Sharp, and Sunday Willis—created the Easter- themed drawings featured throughout this week’s edition.
Each student’s artwork, along with their individual picture, appear in the greeting ads, helping spread a message of joy and celebration for the Easter season.
These festive creations were made possible through the support of local businesses, who sponsored the ads. Sponsors include Daniel J. Sanchez, M.D. P.A.; Mr.
K’s Foodtown; New York Life Insurance Company, Justin Casey, agent; Paradise Flats Gifts & Florals; Rooks County Health Center; Ruder Oil Company; Staabco Chemical; Steve’s Electric & Roustabout; and Tyler’s Automotive Inc.
This special project would not be possible without the generosity of these businesses, as well as the willingness of teachers to dedicate classroom time for students to create their artwork. The Sentinel-Times extends its appreciation to both the students for their creativity and the sponsors and educators for helping continue a meaningful community tradition.
