Clark qualifies for State with a fourth-place finish at District IV

Treyvonn Clark of the Stockton Wrestling Club earned a trip to the state tournament with a fourth-place finish in the 12U 96-pound weight class at the USA Wrestling — Kansas District IV Tournament held Friday, March 6, at Gross Memorial Coliseum in Hays.

Clark battled through a competitive bracket to secure his top-four finish, which qualified him for the next level of competition. The top four wrestlers in each weight class at the district tournament advance to the state championships.

With his strong showing at districts, Clark will now represent the Stockton Wrestling Club at the USA Wrestling Kansas State Folkstyle Wrestling Championships, which will be held March 1315, at the Stormont Vail Events Center in Topeka. Clark will wrestle on Saturday of the tournament. His performance at the district tournament marks another accomplishment for the young Stockton wrestler, who will now have the opportunity to compete against some of the top youth wrestlers from across Kansas at the state level.
