Linda Lou Fringer Forgue
1946 - 2026
Linda Lou Fringer Forgue peacefully passed away in Richmond, Texas, on Saturday, the 21st of February, a few weeks after her 80th birthday. Her family was at her side as she went home to join the Lord.
Linda graduated from Decatur County High School in 1964 and married the love of her life, Kenny Forgue, in 1967. Later that year, their only child, Todd Kenneth Forgue, was born. Linda owned an auto mechanic shop in Stafford with her husband, Kenny, for roughly 15 years. After caring for her husband for almost 9 years before his passing, Linda started a new chapter, opening and working at Marshall’s in Rosenberg for 18 years, a job she held until October of this last year.
Linda loved car races, televised and in person, and football and baseball games, and often watched them with her brother Randy, or remotely with her friend, Sharon. She stayed in touch with friends and family in her native Kansas, and across the country, writing letters and calling everyone regularly. Her smile and deadpan sarcasm will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her husband of almost 40 years, Kenny; her son, Todd; both of her parents, Max Fringer and Bonnie Fringer Turner; her uncle Royal and aunt Darlene, and their son Tom; her older brother Larry Fringer, and his son Eddie; her younger sister, Connie Atkinson; her nephew Rick Fringer Jr.; and her dear family friends, Eldon and Mildred Black, and their son, Lyman.
Linda is survived by her sister-in-law Kathy Fringer; brother, Rick Fringer and his wife Kathy, of California, and their family; her younger brother Randy and his wife, Janice of Richmond; her nephews and nieces: Danny Fringer, and his family; Debbie Hudson and her family; Jeff Fringer, Terri Leach and her husband, George; their children Hunter and Zoe; Michael Atkinson and his wife Karen of Oklahoma, and their sons Nolan and Connor; Amber Atkinson, and her husband Reuben Cervantes, and their sons, Dylan and Andrew; her cousins: Marilyn, Julee, and John, and his family; her adopted sister, Sharon Black, and her children: Jean and Byron Hale and their daughter Cheyanna; Kenny Black and his family : Chelsey and Leigh Zodrow and their family Paisley, Taydem, and Kreightyn; Jobey and Kylee Black and their children Nashlynn and Trigg; Carla and David Depperschmidt, their daughter Leia Gallentine and husband Jason, and their children Kiera and Clayton; their second daughter Heather Depperschmidt and her children: Zach, Olivia, and Quinn; and countless friends and coworkers.
Her services will conclude with the funeral in Oberlin, Kansas, and a graveside service in Zurich.
