1963 - 2024
Sidonie Chiaye, 60, Yukon, Okla., passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Okla., after a brave eight-month battle with ovarian cancer.
She was born October 23, 1963, in Agboville, a village in the Ivory Coast of Africa.
On October 6, 2018, she was united in marriage to Bob Hamilton in Los Angeles, Calif. The couple resided in Atlanta, Ga. before moving to Yukon, Okla., in 2019.
She enjoyed nothing more than giving to others, fulfilling that passion with online shopping. She also loved giving beautiful and colorful clothing to others, professionally tailored by her sister.
Sidonie was a homemaker with a strong faith. She began each day by doing devotions with her husband, whether he was home or on the road.
She was a member of the Canadian Valley Baptist Church in Yukon.
She was preceded in death by a son, Cader Brown (2018); a brother (2024); and her father.
Survivors include her husband, Bob, of the home; daughter, Koura Quattara, of Hurghada, Egypt; stepdaughter, Scottney Hamilton, Hutchinson; her mother, who is from the Ivory Coast of Africa; and many siblings, nieces, and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at Hilltop Church, 419 SE 47th Street, Oklahoma City, Okla., 73129. A luncheon will follow the service. Another celebration will be held in Abidjan, Ivory Coast in November.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or Frontier Hospice and may be sent in care of the church.
