The Rooks County District Court began operating under new hours effective Friday, June 16, 2023.

The Rooks County Commission recently authorized closing the courthouse at noon every Friday. As a result, the District Court will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Friday.

Due to the early closure, the District Court clerk’s office will remain open through the Monday through Thursday lunch hour to provide extra public access.

Even though the Court offices are closed on Friday afternoons, someone will still be available to process emergency e-filings on Friday afternoons. The Court drop box is also available for any paper filings.

For more information, please contact the 23rd Judicial District Court Administrator, Mike Smith, at Mike.Smith@kscourts. org.
