Danny Thomas Houston

Danny Thomas Houston passed away Friday, June 16, 2023, at his home in Plainville, at the age of 53.

He was born on May 10, 1970, to George Thomas and Tressia Mae (Gardner) Houston in Shenandoah, Iowa.

Danny grew up in Red Oak, Iowa and graduated from Clarinda High School in 1982. He was a police officer in Red Oak for many years.

He enjoyed rock and roll music and loved spending time with his family—especially his kids and grandkids.

Danny is survived by his mother, Tressia Houston of Plainville; son George Houston of Plainville; daughters, Margaret Allensworth of Elliot, Iowa and Noel Dominguez of Council Bluffs, Iowa; brothers James (Kathleen) Houston of Grand Prairie, Texas, Jerry (Lesa) Houston of Ellsworth, and Ray (Lisa) Houston of Manhattan; sisters Tressia Lynn (Wayne) Paramore of Plainville and Jennifer Houston of Newton, Iowa; and three grandchildren, Danny T. Houston II, Theodora A. Houston, and Harvey Allensworth.

He is preceded in death by his father, George Houston; and his grandparents, Raymond and Berniece Houston and Willie and Irene Gardner.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at 2 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Plainville. There will be no visitation.
